Aksu: Cotton Subsidies Will Be Distributed According To The Sales Volume Of Seed Cotton This Year

On November 8, it was learned from the agricultural and rural Bureau of Aksu Prefecture that according to the unified deployment of the state and the autonomous region, the area subsidy for basic farmers will be cancelled this year, and the subsidy fund will be paid according to the sales volume of seed cotton.

According to the policy of "cotton price per ton" issued by Xinjiang Autonomous Region before 2020, it is consistent with the target level of cotton price of 18600 yuan per ton issued by Xinjiang Autonomous Region. However, there are new changes in the subsidy policy, which is no longer based on the planting area, but according to the sales volume of cotton farmers. At the same time, the subsidy standard for special cotton (including long staple cotton and colored cotton) should be increased from 1.3 times to 1.4 times.

Due to the change of subsidy policy, the subsidy is subject to the statistical data of the reform information platform of cotton target price in the autonomous region. The selling time of cotton in 2020 will end on January 31, 2021. The vast number of cotton farmers in the region must sell cotton before the specified date, and at the same time, they should sell cotton to the cotton purchasing enterprises which have been publicized by the reform of cotton target price in the autonomous region, and receive invoices.

It should be noted that cotton farmers should not take more than one car to sell cotton. In this way, it is difficult for cotton processing enterprises to distinguish their respective sales volume, and it is also difficult to issue invoices. After selling cotton, it is necessary to query seed cotton sales information through computers or mobile phones in time, so as to avoid the influence on receiving cotton subsidies due to unclear understanding of policies.
