However, compared with the advanced level of the world, most industries of light industry in China are still large and not strong, and the tasks are urgent and arduous in structural adjustment, pformation and upgrading, quality improvement and efficiency improvement.

What are the objectives and tasks of the light industry during the "13th Five-Year" period? How will we face the opportunities and challenges during the "13th Five-Year"? In 2015, the main business income of light industry enterprises was 28 trillion and 200 billion yuan, and the profit was 2 trillion yuan, of which the scale enterprises were 23 trillion and 140 billion yuan and 1 trillion and 490 billion yuan respectively.

The whole industry exports US $598 billion 239 million.

During the "12th Five-Year" period, the main business revenue, profits and exports increased by 74.95%, 101.16% and 68.3% respectively, with an average annual growth of 11.84%, 15% and 10.97%, respectively, which were higher than the national industrial growth rate, and the profit growth rate was particularly prominent.

Its contribution to the economic and social development of the whole country has further increased.

Talking about the new highlights of light industry during the "12th Five-Year" period.

"During the '12th Five-Year" period, the integration and development became a new bright spot, with the "machine replacing manual" as the main feature of the reduction in efficiency and the rapid development of manufacturing and upgrading. Intelligent manufacturing and Internet technology application achieved positive results. Haier has built 7 digital intelligent interconnection factories.

New achievements have been made in production.

Cultural creativity and design services are integrated with the related industries such as interior decoration, smart home, arts and crafts, sports and stationery, and so on, forming a new economic growth point.

Business model innovation, e-commerce, online and offline integration and development to further accelerate.

What is worth mentioning is that during the "12th Five-Year" period, China's light industry technology innovation capability was significantly enhanced. There were 17 national key laboratories, 7 national engineering laboratories, 21 National Engineering (Technology) research centers, 162 state-level enterprise technology centers, 47 more than the end of 11th Five-Year, accounting for 13.6% of the whole country.

A number of major national science and technology support projects and technological pformation projects have been successfully implemented.

The key materials and preparation technology research and industrialization projects of the pen making industry have achieved 12 major innovative achievements, breaking through the technical bottleneck of the core raw materials and improving the overall level of scientific and technological progress in the whole industry.

Many key technologies and main technical indicators of high-speed paper machines developed by China have reached the international advanced level.

A number of key technologies in home appliances, plastics, hardware, leather, food and other industries have made breakthroughs.

During the "12th Five-Year" period, the whole industry was awarded 43 National Science and technology awards and 806 Chinese science and technology awards.

At the same time, during the "12th Five-Year" period, the light industry structure adjustment effect was obvious, the product structure changed significantly, new product development was accelerated, product grades improved, quality improved steadily, energy conservation and environmental protection achieved breakthroughs, comprehensive consumption of key industries such as paper, leather and other industries decreased significantly, and increased production was not increased. The international competitiveness increased steadily, and the export of light industrial products ranked first in the national economy, and the output of more than 100 kinds of products ranked first in the world.
