The Wang Zhentao charitable foundation was planned in 2005. It was approved by the State Council and the Ministry of civil affairs at the end of 2006. It was officially launched in Beijing in April 6th this year. It is the first privately owned charity foundation of private entrepreneurs in China.

The foundation will help 1000 impoverished students complete their studies this year. In 2002 alone, he donated 10 million to the Zhejiang university student aid fund to help poor college students complete their studies.
