According to the "2010-2015 year investment analysis and prospect forecast report of China's new material industry" released by CIC consultant, in recent years, some famous multinational companies in the world have continuously increased investment in the field of polyurethane in China. They have established a production base and R & D center of polyurethane raw materials and products in mainland China or Hongkong by wholly foreign-owned joint ventures, and put some advanced international manufacturing technologies into China's market and localized production.

For example, BASF, Bayer, Huntsman, Dow Chemical, Ying Wei Da, Shell, American gas, Mitu, Mitsui and other companies.

Chang Yizhi also pointed out that in addition to these well-known international companies, domestic polyurethane related enterprises also increased investment in the field of polyurethane.

For example, in the field of polyurethane products, Huafeng Group has invested 130 million yuan to expand the 150 thousand tons / year polyurethane resin project in Ruian Economic Development Zone of Wenzhou, and its 100 thousand ton / year polyurethane resin project in Taizhou has been started. The two projects are planned to be put into operation in 2010. At that time, the production of polyurethane resin in Huafeng Group will reach 400 thousand tons / year.

In the field of polyurethane raw materials, Nanjing's Hongbao Limited by Share Ltd invested 250 million yuan to build the largest rigid foam combination polyether project in China recently completed and put into operation in Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park.

After the project is put into operation, the total capacity of Hongbao company's rigid foam combination polyether will reach 90 thousand tons / year. It will become the largest rigid foam polyether production enterprise in the country.

Zhang Yanlin, research director of CIC, pointed out that at present, China has become one of the main polyurethane markets in the world. In the future, with the development of the new energy industry and the increasing environmental requirements for production materials in various industries, the demand for polyurethane in China will be further increased, and polyurethane production enterprises will continue to increase investment in the field of polyurethane.
